Adrian Hernandez practices in all areas of employment law and has handled a variety of matters including wage and hour class actions, executive severance negotiations, and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims.
Prior to joining The Graves Firm, Adrian was an associate at Hennig, Kramer, Ruiz & Singh, a plaintiff-side employment firm, where he handled a wide variety of employment matters and Qui Tam lawsuits brought under the False Claims Act.
Prior to his work at HKRS, Adrian worked as a Staff Attorney at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), a national non-profit dedicated to defending Latino civil rights. At MALDEF, Adrian’s practice focused primarily on immigrants’ rights, where he litigated cases that challenged unconstitutional local, state, and federal policies. He also participated in compliance work, and was responsible for overseeing the training program for a major law enforcement agency.
Adrian received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2018, with specializations in the David J. Epstein Public Interest Law and Policy and Critical Race Studies programs. During law school, Adrian served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Harry Pregerson, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and interned with the ACLU of Southern California’s Police Practices Team.
Before law school, Adrian worked as an investigator for the public defender’s office in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Wesleyan University in 2011.
